Copywriting the right way
In this article, I only talk about copywriting for a website, or more specifically for a business website.
I have created more than 50 business websites for different clients now, and I know very well the desirous when people create a website. people always think that they have the best products or services so they use a lot of luxurious adjectives on the web page to let visitors to get their points.
Will that work? sometimes, but I know another way that is easy, simple, and also works. I will show you in this article.
Have you ever seen the first website on the internet? if you haven’t go ahead to have a look I show you the link here: http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html
What do you feel? very simple one right? The internet is actually designed to deliver information, we now have a set of new technologies that can help us make a gorgeous website but the goal doesn’t change, it still uses for delivering information.
There are 1.14 billion websites on the internet today, and every minute 175 new websites are online, yes, maybe include yours, then guess what? 83% of them will go inactive forever.
People take hundreds of hours to think about how to convince their visitors with their website, now I tell you, you can’t. People never convince by your website or your copywriting, people are convinced by themselves. what your website can do is deliver enough information and let your visitors know well enough what your products or services are.
So if you do not get the results you wish from your website you may try this:
- forget the gorgeous words and change to use the simple ones, simple as a non-native English speaker can understand.
- Use fewer words but more photos and videos If you need to use words then make them shorter
- Not much right, yes, simple but it works.
I always highly recommend my customer write the copywriting by themselves because you are always the ones who understand most of your business.
In the meantime, always remember that speed matters more than anything on the modern internet.
